3. DURAMONYTE (Maduramicin Ammonium1%) COMPOSITION • Maduramycin ammonium – 10 mg • Carrier ad – 1 g DESCRIPTION: Maduramycin is a polyether antibiotic extracted from actinomycete culture medium. It is commonly used as an ammonium salt. It is a white crystalline powder, easily soluble in chloroform, methanol, and ethanol. It is stable in an acidic medium. BENEFITS: • Less toxic than other coccidiostats. • Best compatibility with antibacterial agents. • Higher safety margin.
